Ben is in town since he is writing a book about Marsten House, a nearby abandoned house where Ben had a scary experience as a child. Marsten House was a depression-era structure, built for a hitman. They don’t remember their meeting with a vampire, or believe it was a fantasy. These infected men and women go missing, or so their bodies disappear from the morgue, thus there’s not any concrete proof of what is occuring.

Soon, Ben realizes what is happening. He enlists the support of some other people in the town: his friend Matt and Matt’s doctor, Jimmy Cody, along with Susan. Ben also looks to the local priest, Father Callahan, and a young boy named Mark Petrie, who likes horror books. Mark fought Danny using a plastic cross of his own, giving a clue into how to fight off the vampires. Salem’s Lot by Stephen King Audio Book Free Streaming.

They decide to visit Marston House during the day, since the Turks only come out at night. Ben, Mark, Jimmy, and Father Callahan visit Marston House.
